Dec 2016. Melody Cycle ♯2 live!
On the 9th December the Apostrophe Ensemble will premiere Melody Cycle ♯2 as part of the Anatomy ♯14 event at Edinburgh's Summerhall. Expect a woodwind trio (flute, oboe, clarinet), tape, projected score and plenty of note phasing!
Nov 2016. Trois Fulgurances in full chamber mode.
On the 24th November the Edinburgh Composers' Orchestra will perform a full chamber version of Trois Fulgurances at Edinburgh's Reid Concert Hall.

On the 21st June the Apostrophe Ensemble will join the band Jack and the' to perform orchestral songs from their second album Melody Cycle at the Institut Français Écosse in Edinburgh, mais oui!

Julien's new piece Trois Fulgurances will be premiered on the 17th August by the Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble during their ECME Chamber concert at St Mary's Cathedral, part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

Oct 2015. New piece Hologram to be premiered by ECME.
Julien's new piece Hologram will be premiered by the Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble (ECME) (all 51 of them, featuring Apostrophe members!) conducted by Jim Lowe on saturday 28th November at the Reid Hall in Edinburgh.
Inspired by the holographic theory of modern astrophysics, Hologram plays with the dimensions of sound, juxtaposing and distorting them to suggest higher or hidden dimensions. Come and hear the results!

The ensemble teamed up with Edinburgh pop band Jack and the' to record the band's 2nd album Melody cycle, which goes full circle between pop, chamber music and jazz! First stop is the release of an EP entitled Saharian sands on the 3rd Dec on Bandcamp.
